Troubleshooting

The 6V Feeder/Micro Camera Power Panel is designed to support compatible FieldNode Micro Series cameras. If you're experiencing power-related issues or difficulty validating power from the panel, follow the steps below to troubleshoot.

Issue: Power Validation

  1. Confirm Compatibility:
    • This panel is only compatible with FieldNode Micro Series cameras that use 4 AA batteries (6V).
    • It is not compatible with cameras that require 8 AA batteries (12V).
  2. Check Battery Type:
    • Do not use rechargeable AA batteries — the panel is not designed to charge them.
    • Use only Energizer or FieldNode-branded AA batteries.
    • When the panel is depleted, the internal AA batteries will act as backup power.
  3. Check Panel Charge Status:
    • Press the battery level indicator button on the panel.
    • If no lights come on, charge the panel fully using a USB to micro-USB cord and a different wall outlet.
    • Wait until the Charge Indicator LED is green before reconnecting.
    • If lights do come on, continue troubleshooting.
  4. Replace Internal Batteries (if needed):
    • Swap out the current AA batteries with a fresh set of Energizer or FieldNode-branded batteries.
    • Reconnect the panel and monitor for further issues.

 Issue: No Power

  1. Charge the Panel Fully:
    • Use a USB to micro-USB cord, charging block, and a different wall outlet than you normally use.
    • Charge until the Charge Indicator LED turns green.
  2. Reconnect and Test:
    • Once fully charged, reinsert the panel into the camera securely.
    • Monitor for any further power issues.
