Getting Started

Congratulations! Now that you have your M-Series camera, continue reading to learn what you will need to get started! 

 

Items Needed

  • M-Series camera
  • AA Batteries
  • SD Card (4-32GB, SDHC Class 10 U1)

 

Setting Up Your Camera

Below is a menu map that all M-Series cameras follow. To set up your device, navigate through the menu map, setting your settings as you go.

 

M-Series Cameras offer the following settings:

  • Motion Detection - How the device is set to behave when triggered.
    • Detection Delay - The amount of time the camera waits to capture another image after capturing the previous one.
    • PIR Sensitivity - High: Extends proximity to be triggered but heightens the possibility of brush triggers and tiny animals; Medium; Low: Cuts down on proximity to be triggered, also cuts down on possibility of brush triggers and tiny animals.
    • Multi-Shot - How many images the device takes at one time.
    • Photo or Video
    • Reset Options
  • Time Lapse - Images taken at set interval(s).
    • TL Interval
    • TL Program 1 Start Time
    • TL Program 1 Stop Time
    • TL Program 2 Start Time
    • TL Program 2 Stop Time
    • Reset Options
  • Motion+Timelapse
    • Settings are chosen in their respective menus
  • Infostrip Options - Strip at the bottom of the image showing image details.
    • Temperature
    • Infostrip Active
    • Camera Name
    • Date & Time
  • Photo/Video Options
    • Video Length
    • Video Quality
    • Motion Freeze - Reduces blur on night images by increasing exposure time.
    • Photo Quality
  • Memory Options
    • Managed Memory -Failsafe if SD Card fills; If the SD Card is near full, the camera will override the first image on the SD Card with the latest and continue the cycle. 
    • Erase All Images
  • System Options
    • Factory Reset
    • Upgrade Firmware
    • Program Security Code - A code lock for your camera.
