Troubleshooting

Once you have created your FieldNode account, selected your desired plan and activated your camera, you are minutes away from receiving pictures!  Follow the steps below to get your camera connected.

CONNECTING YOUR DELTA BASE

1.  Switch your camera to the ON position.

2.  You should see BATTERY and SD CARD lights illuminate to show status.

3.  Green BATTERY and SD CARD lights indicate they are good.

4.  Press and hold the FORMAT SD CARD button until the SD Card light blinks yellow, then release.

5.  There is a 30-second delay to allow time to format the SD card.

6.  Once formatted the SD CARD light will turn solid green indicating success.

7.  If the SD CARD light turns solid red. Repeat the process until SD CARD light is solid green.

8.  If the SD CARD light does not turn green, try a different card.

9.  After formatting, the SIGNAL and SERVER light will begin flashing yellow while acquiring signal.

  • SIGNAL light will turn solid green if signal is good, yellow if signal is ok, and red if signal is bad.
  • SERVER light will turn green when connected. This could take some time, be patient.

10.  Once the camera completes its connection cycle you will see all 4 status lights turn green for a few seconds and then cycle off.  This means your camera is ready to take a picture.  However, if they do not all turn green before cycling off, don't worry - this may just mean you have a marginal signal, the camera should still connect and transmit on the next connection.  All the lights will come back on while the picture is being uploaded to your account.

Pro Tips:

  • You will need a sufficient signal to connect your camera.
  • Moving a few feet in any direction may help.
  • We recommend FieldNode or Energizer brand, either Alkaline or Lithium batteries.
  • Lithium batteries are better for colder temperatures.
  • If your SD card has been used in any other device, you need to fully format it in your computer prior to use, or use a brand new SD Card.
  • Always make sure to use the correct type of SD card.
