How to Manage the GPS Feature

Turning on GPS

Once your Edge 2 Pro or Edge 3 series camera is activated, the GPS feature is turned on automatically. There is no need for you to do anything.

 

Accessing Your Camera's GPS Coordinates

To access your camera's GPS Coordinates, open your FieldNode app then do the following:

  1. Select "Maps"
  2. Select "Content" in the bottom left
  3. Select your camera pin
  4. Select "Details"
    1. The GPS Coordinates will be shown in the description

 

FAQ's

Q: How often does GPS update?

A: GPS coordinates are sent to your map for your Edge device when it powers on, during live aim, as well as every 7 days. 

 

Q: Is GPS information available on the website version of your platform?

A: No it is not. It is only available via our FieldNode app.

 

Q: Do I need to pin my Edge device on the map in order for GPS to work?

A: No. It will pin itself to your map. Please ensure if you move locations, allow the device to turn off and then back on again to gather the new coordinates.
