Getting Started

You can link any eligible Edge series camera or newer to your OnX account.

To connect your camera:

  1. Open the FieldNode app.
  2. Go to your camera settings and choose to link with OnX.
  3. Sign in to your OnX account and follow the prompts to complete setup.

What You’ll See in OnX

  • Standard resolution thumbnails (640x360) will appear in your OnX app.
  • If your camera is in video mode, the video thumbnail will be displayed—but not the video itself.
  • OnX will also display the following:
    • Camera name
    • Temperature
    • Date and time
    • Location (only if the camera was pinned in FieldNode)

Limitations

  • Historical content will not appear—only thumbnails captured after linking will be shared.
  • Videos are not sent, only their thumbnail images.
  • We do not control how OnX displays images.
  • Changing the camera’s location in FieldNode after linking will not update it in OnX.
  • Disconnecting and reconnecting the same camera will result in OnX creating a new camera entry.

GPS and Camera Locations

  • We only send GPS data if the camera is pinned at the time of linking.
  • Unpinned devices will show as “Not in Field” in OnX, but you can move them manually in the OnX app.
  • Pinning the camera in FieldNode after linking will not change its location in OnX.
