How to Manage the Deploy Camera Feature

With the EDGE, EDGE PRO, EDGE 2 PRO, and EDGE 3 series cameras, deploying your camera has never been easier. Using Bluetooth, the camera pairs with your smartphone to guide you through the deployment process. Once connected, you can confirm your camera is properly set up and ready to capture activity.

 

  1. Once a device is activated, an option should pop up to deploy the camera, follow the steps:

2. Adjust smart capture settings if desired, and there is a quick start video.

3. Next, it will show you how to eject the battery tray, install batteries, and how to power the device on. 

4. Next, start Live Aim. If your camera doesn't have a live aim button, you can also hit live aim in the app under devices. You can skip this part if not within Bluetooth range of the camera. 

TIP: Live Aim doesn't affect daily camera operation. 

5. Finally, your camera's location has been pinned, and deployment is complete! 

 

If you are having any trouble with this feature, please remember:

  • Your phone must have Bluetooth capability
  • You must have Bluetooth enabled on your phone
  • You must 'allow' the FieldNode App to use Bluetooth when prompted
  • Your App Version needs to be 4.12.5 or later
